HOW DOES CBD WORK?

Cannabidiol or CBD is a stable and non-toxic compound found in hemp which is unlike its counterpart in THC. As it is non-toxic and non-psychoactive, it does not stimulate euphoria or make you “high”. CBD does not directly act upon the CB1 and CB2 receptors directly like THC does. It acts on these receptors via different receptors like serotonin, adenosine, and vanilloid. CBD’s main role is supporting the endo cannabinoid system to control pain, inflammation, and degeneration. It acts on the FAAH enzymes that inhibit the function of CB1 thus reducing the psychoactive effects caused by THC.
